The 2012 Blue Platypus Arts Centre Gold Coast Online Marketing Package was featured in the Gold Coast Bulletin yesterday in Kate Peters’ Dressing Roomers column.
The prize includes “a complete online marketing package worth more than $3,500 for a local artist or arts organisation” — a joint initiative between Blue Platypus and Arts Centre Gold Coast that aims to help a deserving local creative get the online presence they need to grow their audience and their career.
Why media coverage matters
We’re delighted that the Gold Coast Bulletin is helping to promote this initiative. Media coverage plays an important role in reaching the right people — in this case, local artists and arts organisations who might not yet know the prize exists and may be the perfect recipient. Every mention in a trusted local publication helps spread the word to a wider community audience.
This kind of community-focused initiative is something we at Blue Platypus are genuinely proud of. Supporting the arts is not just good community spirit — it’s a recognition that creative professionals deserve the same access to quality digital marketing as any other business. A well-designed website and a strong online presence can transform the reach and sustainability of an artist’s practice.
If you’re a Gold Coast artist or arts organisation and you’d like to learn more about the prize or our online marketing services, we’d love to hear from you.
